Natural Remedies: Therapeutic and Sex Stimulating (Aphrodisiac) Properties of Indian Gooseberry, Jambul Fruit, Lady’s Finger, Mango, Musk Melon, Nutmeg, Onion and Pepper

Indian Gooseberry

Indian gooseberry is regarded as a natural rejuvenator. It is said that the great ancient sage Muni Chyawan rejuvenated himself in his late 70’s and regained his virility by the use of amla.

This fruit has been credited with aphrodisiac property. This property is attributed to high vitamin C contained in it. Vitamin C boosts energy levels, according to a survey conducted in New York in 1994. Experts say that vitamin C soaks up all those free radicals, which damage healthy cells and make people, feel and look older and less interested in sex. Jambul Fruit

This fruit is a specific remedy for spermatorrhoea and sexual debilities. About 200 grams of jambul fruit should be used four times daily for at least a fortnight. This may be followed by one grain of Sendha Salt. The quantity of fruit can be increased gradually. This will strengthen sexual organs and the person will gain vigour and vitality.

Lady’s Finger

The lady’s finger is a very popular table vegetable grown all over India. It is a great sexual tonic. Its regular use increases the sperm cells and thickens the semen. It is mentioned in the ancient Indian literature that the persons who take 5 to 10 grams of root powder of this vegetable with milk and ‘mishri’ daily, never loose sexual vigour. Those who have deficiency of sperm cells in their semen and also pass undue semen should make liberal use of this vegetable.

Mango

This most popular fruit is a perfect rejuvenative food. Its regular use during the season imparts vigour and vitality and gives exceptional tone to the reproductory system. For better results, the juice of a fully ripe and sweet fibrous mango should be extracted and taken mixed with pure honey.

Musk Melon

This fruit is a sex-strengthening food and its systemic use has been found especially valuable in rectifying the defects of the seminal fluid. In this mode of treatment, the patient should take an exclusive diet of musk melon for twenty-one days. To begin with, he should take 120 grams of melon at a time for three or four times a day. The quantity of melon may be increased by 10 grams at a time for three days. The maximum quantity should be maintained for two days more and then it should be decreased in the same order.

The pulp of melons only should be consumed. This may be followed by sucking of a piece of sugar candy. The return to normal diet should be gradual, while free use of melons should also be continued. The exclusive diet of musk melon should be concluded by taking fresh fruit and their juices, before resuming the normal diet.

Nutmeg

This popular condiment is an aphrodisiac food. It stimulates sexual desire and serves as medicine in sexual debility and weakness. The powder of nutmeg, mixed with honey and a half-boiled egg, makes an excellent sex tonic. It prolongs the duration of sexual act if taken an hour before conjugal union.

Onion
Onions have been attributed aphrodisiac properties since prehistoric times. They have been hailed as more than food in the Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Arab and Chinese literature. A 16th century Arabic erotic Manuel called ‘The Perfumed Garden’ written by Sheikh Al Nefzawi, recommends use of the juice of pounded onions mixed with honey to improve sexual power. Onions were considered so potent that in the olden times celibate Egyptian priests were prohibited from eating them.

This vegetable is believed to increase libido and strengthen the reproductive organ. In France, newly-weds were fed onion soup in the morning after their wedding night to restore their libido. A syrup made from onion and honey has been found very effective in restoring sexual, power. This syrup is prepared by mixing 30 grams of onion juice with 60 grams of honey and placing it on fire. It should be taken off the fire when it obtains the consistency of syrup. The patient may take even double the dose if it suits him. It reddens the face within a few days and is one of the best aphrodisiac foods.

Pepper (Black)

This most important spice possesses aphrodisiac property and can be beneficially used in the treatment of sexual impotence. Six peppers with four almonds may be taken once daily with milk in treating this condition. It acts as a nerve-tonic and stimulates sexual desire.
