(iii) A very powerful Hindi peace endowing mantra which is chanted daily is ‘SHANTT which is complete inhale/exhale mantra. The word ‘Shant means PEACE, Make ‘Shanti’ as your breath.

Inhale with = SHANT
Exhale with = TI or TEESH.

This mantra helps us to take the breath from its centre in the body, about 7 cms below the Navel – exactly the place where the sound ‘S’ or ‘Sh’ originates in our body. The mantra ‘Shah’ yokes the breath with Infiinity with the help of word (n) which unites us with the super consciousness and the breath ends with T, one of the seed word for stimulating the taste glands endings in the brain and to boost our taste for life.

A very useful modification of the above mantra is:

Inhale with = ‘SHANTTAM’
Exhale with = ‘MINTEESH/MINDEESH/ MENDEESH

The word ‘AM’ has been suffixed to Shant to make it SHANTTAM so as to make the breath reach the crown chakra which strengthens right brain with its seed word ‘M’ which also helps to stimulate the pineal gland. This pineal gland comes to the rescue of much harassed pituitary gland which is everytime called upon when – ever a stressful situation arises. The pineal gland also releases the hormone Melatonin to give peace (Shanti) to our Mind.

The inhale mantra ‘Shantam’ means that I am at peace. The exhale mantra – ‘Mendeesh’ may be thought to mean that God is mending my stress-torn body because I am yoked with my source of life-the God.

Another suggestive happiness endowing breathing mantra is :-

Exhale with = I AM HAPPY
Inhale with = APPAHHANM.

This mantra strengthens the lungs/heart with ‘P’ and Thyroid gland with ‘H’ and the crown chakra with M.
