Diet Cure: Treatment Chart for Menstrual Disorders

A – DIET

I. An all-fruit diet for 3 to 5 days, with three meals a day. If already underweight, add a glass of milk to each fruit meal.

II. After the all-fruit diet, adopt the following diet:

1. Upon arising: A glass of lukewarm water mixed with the freshly-squeezed juice of half a lime and a teaspoon of honey.

2. Breakfast: Fresh fruits and a glass of milk.
3. Lunch: A bowl of freshly-prepared steamed vegetables, whole wheat chappatis and a glass of butter milk.
4. Mid-afternoon: A glass of fruit juice or vegetable juice.
5. Dinner: A bowl of fresh green vegetable salad and mung bean sprout with lime juice dressing.
6. Bedtime Snack: A glass of fresh milk or an apple.

Note:

1. Spend short periods on all-fruit diet for two or three days at monthly intervals.
2. Take six small meals instead of three large ones.

AVOID: Meats, sugar, white flour, tea, coffee, condiments, pickles, fried foods, soft drinks, candies, and products made from sugar and white flour.

B – OTHER MEASURES

1. Cold hip bath for 10 minutes daily. Suspend all cold baths during the menstrual period.
2. Fresh air and moderate exercise.
