LATE LEARNING TO TALK AND WALK

Calcarea carb. – Fat, flabby child with defective nutrition of bones. Large head, open fontanelles and profuse sweat even during sleep. Craving for indigestible things; and for eggs. Inability to apply himself Hence, late learning to walk.

Calc. phos. – Child is delicate, tall, thin or scrawny. Neck painful from drafts. Sunken, flabby abdomen. Fontenelles remain open too long. Craves salted or smoked meat. Late learning to walk.

Natrum mur. – Ravenous appetite with emaciation. Buttocks emaciated in infants. Desires salty food. Violent thirst. Alternate constipation and diarrhoea. Late or slow learning to TALK as well as to WALK.

WORMS

Cina – Canine hunger; hungry soon after a full meal. Constantly digging and boring at the nose; picks the nose all the time; itching of the nose; rubs the nose on the pillow or on the shoulder of the nurse. Worm complaints of children; with convulsions.

Mercuriussol. – Lumbricoids escape easily and freely. Ascarides creep out of the anus and can be seen on the perineum and the buttock even at night in bed. Nostrils red, raw and ulcerated. Salivation very marked.

Spigelia – Itching, tickling in anus and rectum. Worms. Very offensive flatus. Colic with pinching pains in the umbilical region. Very offensive flaus; sensation as of a worm rising in throat, better after eating.

Sulphur – Creeping and biting in rectum. Frequent passage of round worms or thread worms. Sulph. is frequently required to complete a cure after other remedies have played their part.

Teucrium Mar. – V Ascarides with nightly restlessness. Crawling in the rectum, after stool. Itching of anus and constant irritation in the evening in bed.

BED-WETTING

Benz. acid – With dark, offensive urine.

Causticum – When urine passes involuntarily, especially during the first sleep.

Cina – When there is also involuntary micturition during the day. Especially in children who suffer from worms (Sil). Equisetum When there is no tangible cause except habit. Kreosotum – Where he dreams that he is standing before the proper receptacle and wakes to find just the reverse, Teeth carious.

Phos. acid – When urine is passed in first sleep and fairly floods the bed.

Sepia – Where the trouble is worse during the first part of the night.
