It can be achieved by taking wheat bran cereals. Wheat bran has specific property to lower dramatically the circulating levels of cancer-promoting oestrogen in the blood. This was found in a research study by David P. Rose, M.D., of the American Health Foundation in New York.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Some women were made to eat three to four high-fibre muffins a day made with oat bran, corn bran or wheat bran. That doubled their fibre intake from about 15g to 30g. After a month, there was a little difference in their blood oestrogen levels, but after two months, oestrogen levels had come down by about 17 per cent in the women eating wheat bran. Oestrogen levels did not change in eaters of oat bran or corn bran muffins. However all type of brans, including wheat bran as rich sources of fibre can help reduce the risk of colon cancer. Some specific foods, however, have shown outstanding powers in this regard. Wheat bran has the best reputation as a formidable colon cancer fighter.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"headingz\">Wheat Grass Juice<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ann Wigmore of Boston, U.S.A., the well-known naturopath and pioneer in the field of living food nutrition, has been testing the effect of a drink made of fresh wheat-grass in the treatment of leukaemia. She claims to have cured several cases of this disease by this method. Dr. Wigmore points out that by furnishing the body with live minerals, vitamins, trace elements and chlorophyll, the wheat-grass juice may help repair the damaged cells. In adopting this mode of treatment, the patient should undertake fast on wheat grass for seven days.<\/p>\n<p>This fast provides the body with all the nutrients of the richest living food in a form so concentrated and easy to digest that it provides virtually all the benefits of a complete fast with none of the dangers of total abstinence. Such a fast can be pleasantly cleansed and nourished at the same time. One can be confident of complete safety and real health-building results.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare for the wheat grass fast, it is essential for the patient to undertake repeated warm water enema so as to cleanse the body of accumulated waste products. It is necessary to eliminate this putrefaction. The wheat grass fast consists of three or four wheat grass juice drinks each day plus two chlorophyll implants. If the patient does not<\/p>\n<p>like the taste or odour of the juice, he can take four implants instead of two, with same beneficial results. Upon awakening, the patient should drink two glasses of warm water, mixed with the juice of one lemon and sweetened with molasses or honey. Then, the colon should be thoroughly evacuated with an enema to eliminate any debris clogging to the inner walls of the colon. The patient should sip 120 ml of pure wheat grass chlorophyll three times a day at five-hourly intervals. Each drink may be diluted with water on 50:50 basis.
