Colic Pain or Gastralgia is a condition in which one feels pain in the stomach, in the vicinity of the navel. It comes in spasms. It is caused due to constipation and indigestible articles of food in the alimentary canal.<\/p>\n

It is generally relieved by hot compression or pressure on the abdomen, or by vomiting, which can be induced by tickling the throat with fingers, after a glass of warm water. Bowels should be cleaned with warm-water enema. A hot-water bottle be placed over the painful area.<\/p>\n
In acute cases, due to inflammation of the intestines it assumes serious proportions and is accompanied by fever. In that case the patient should be kept on fast on water only for the period, till he is relieved of his pain.<\/p>\n
