Apoplexy, commonly known as Paralysis, is also called cerebral haemorrhage in medical science. Its stroke is a very serious condition, involving one’s life also, if ignored.<\/p>\n
The initial cause of apoplexy is the rupture of a blood vessel in the brain, as a consequence of excessively high blood pressure. As already explained under the relevant heading that at the back of blood pressure is wrong dieting, as excess of acidic materials and beverages.<\/p>\n

The local or immediate cause can be some sensitive factor, as anger, excitement, mental or bodily strain and overwork of heavy exertion. When a stroke occurs, the person has intense headache, also vomiting and profuse perspiration followed by unconsciousness, having courses of loud snoring.<\/p>\n
This may lead to paralysis of one side of the body, as a result of pressure upon the brain nerves.<\/p>\n
Treatment<\/span><\/p>\n The patient may be kept on fast with only water for a few days, say three to five days, followed by fast on orange juice and water. When some relief is felt, a course of fruit juice only should be undertaken.<\/p>\n During this period, bowels should be kept clean by use of enema twice daily for three days and then only nightly. Enema water should be warm. Cold compress of the head is also helpful. A gentle massage (dry) of the affected limbs is beneficial.<\/p>\n After some improvement, milk may be added to the diet, which may gradually turn to restricted diet, followed after some days by normal natural diet. Smoking and alcohol are prohibited. The treatment should be on the lines of that described for heart patients.<\/p>\n
