Uterus present in the lower part of the abdomen, is the organ where the foetus normally resides during pregnancy.

Uterus is very much liable to develop, hard, roundish masses in its walls, which also protrude into cavity of the uterus, and cause excessive bleeding. They may be present more than one at a time. They are called fibroids and they are not cancer.

Cancer Treatment: Neuroblastoma

It arises from the cells of the sympathetic nerves and in the adrenal glands. These nerves are spread over all parts of the body. The cancer occurs more commonly in the abdomen. The cancer spreads rapidly in the body through the blood vessels as well as lymphatic channels. The cancer cells produce a substance called catecholamine which raises the blood pressure.

Cancer Treatment: Prevention of Cancer

Prevention of cancer attempts to eliminate the disease by protecting the individual and the community from the causative agent. This is called primary prevention. This involves environmental monitoring of cancer-causing agents (carcinogens), identification of high risk groups and procedures to abolish any contact between the carcinogen and the host.
